Huh...I thought the title was The Mean 6...oh, well, the more you know...
Thanks to Sendvid for letting me see this one (again).
The first time was Wednesday morning, 2AM, while suffering a nasty chest cold, which I finally just got over today.
(btw, the UK time was 8AM, who the hoof watches new cartoons on a work/school day? Guess the UK treats this as an infant show, which sounds a little worse than the Pony haters here...
I also wanted to see it again because their voices were speeded-up a little, & see if the scene at the end was censored somewhat.
But aaaannnyywhoo...
FINAL VERDICT:
A very fun, funny ep that also drops a major hint to the proper Season (that's Season, not Series) finale.
So Chrysalis is left talking to herself & creating minions out of wood after losing her hive & kingdom...
Was great seeing the Discorded versions of the Mane 6 from S2 again-my faves are Applejack, Rarity, & Fluttershy
It was fun seeing the Mane 6 meeting the opposite others & almost causing chaos amongst the group-luckily, they didn't meet their own opposites
It was kinda dumb seeing Starlight overloaded with gear, though
eRarity had the best faces
eApplejack had some awesome lies
eFluttershy looked so cute tearing up the tent like a dog
I see the Tiny Pop version left the creepy withering scene intact, though I heard that THAT scene was originally creepiER-looking
Wonder when the Mane 6 approaches the Tree if it will shoot its tendrills out again just to make sure they're the real deal this time, & will it treat Starlight as friend or foe
Chrysalis may have been self-defeated, but now she knows where the Tree is-a major set-up for the Season Finale
A fun episode to watch again-I see most comments said the same thing
Now I wonder if the Season box set will have this title...
